![]() | Recording Mic I am looking for a good cheap microphone for recording my trumpet playing. I am serious about my future with the trumpet. I don't know much about recording nor recording software. I was kinda hoping for some guidance on that part. ** I was also looking at this mic ** Amazon.com: Sony ECMMS907 Digital Recording Microphone: Electronics |

![]() | Re: Recording Mic I use the Zoom H2. It is very small and contains both the microphone and recording machine all in one. It's not that cheap though. It's $119. It's really awesome though. But, you might already have the recording machine, so, I'm sure someone in here can help you out with the mic info. Good luck. |

| Pianissimo User | Re: Recording Mic I would stick with the Zoom H2 (or H4), you can see a thread in Tom Hooten's forum about it. It's completely self-contained: record and then listen back without having to worry about software or editing or whatever. Stuart |

There's a nice quick clip on the Harrison Wedge Mouthpiece site fyi. Cheers, T PS: For cheap-ish workhorse mics you can't go wrong with an SM-57. It's great. I also have a great Cascade ribbon mic I use to record with for right around 200 bucks!
