I use a Monette B2D in the Symphony. The 1-1 does not have enough brilliance with my chops.

I think you would enjoy a B1-5 or B1-5M.

Also, the B2D is a wonderful mouthpiece...depth or sound with plenty of brilliance when pushed.

B/C1-5, 1-5M, 1-2, and 2D are good places to start. If you happen to be near Portland or another Monette dealer, they have those rims with the new "slap" cups, so there are several options. I haven't tried the slap cups, so I can't tell you much about them.

Visit a shop if you are near any
here's a link to their list of dealers:
David G. Monette Corporation
If you can get to any of them, i'd recommend going there and trying out a few

I just order two non Prana B&C1-5 monettes. It is a big difference between prana and non prana?

For me, the difference was HUGE. The classic mouthpieces were great with me on my Bach, but the PRANAS just didn't work.
