| Torpedo Bags--and new mouthpiece pouches The new Torpedo Bags finally arrived around March 18th, and I finished shipping these out to everyone about 10 days before Easter. I had to go through each and every box to flip a pad that was installed upside down (not a defect, just needed a simple flip), and the quality is definitely better than ever on this batch. The inside is a better fit and the foam was installed better, and they come with a shoulder strap included this time. The biggest "tweak" is a better internal storage pocket, which is shaped to the internal padding (it's hard to describe, but I am going to be taking more pix soon to show this and other features). It's also got a plastic insert in the top lid. They have always been the most protective case out there, but I have to say they have never been this protective or well made. I've outdone myself :) Long story short: All the dealers who were waiting now have the latest Torpedo Bag. $50 cash for new dealer leads, too. Email me at gtp@bitstream.net for details. Other developments: I designed single, double, triple, and quad mouthpiece holsters, made in uber-thick chocolate brown and black leather. They are very nice, and I will have them in stock very soon. Watch torpedobags.com for pix, hopefully by the end of April. When they go up, I have them in stock. Also, the Torpedo Bag "Top Shelf Wet Bar" has been seen by a select few, and it's getting either chuckles or accolades or both. Yes, it holds your mutes, but is cut to the shape of a pint glass. Again, when the pix go up, I've got 'em (soon). You will find yourself wanting to join a polka band just to use this product, but I can see it being actually very helpful to broadway players and big band guys for those quick mute changes. And sips during tacet moments. |
