Trumpet/Flugel Double case

Folks,

I am looking for a compact case that fits a flugel and a Bb. It would be great if it fit in a plane overhead too.

I have been traveling with a Bam single for my Bb, and a RB soft flugel case. Now that the airlines are cracking down on carry-ons I need to combine them.

I want to avoid duck-taping my laptop case to my Bb (this happened to a colleague recently on Air Canada) just to get my flugel on the plane.

Any recommendations?

Re: Trumpet/Flugel Double case

Marcus Bonna. I believe they make a case that holds a flugel and trumpet.

Re: Trumpet/Flugel Double case

Hi Paul,
I use a Walt Johnson double case but methinks that may be a bit big for the airlines (although I have sent it as checked baggage with no problems). I tried a Vax with my Kanstul-Besson Brevete but the horn is just too big. You might consider an incredibly expensive but beautifully made Wiseman case (www.wisemancases.com). Hope all is going well in your world!

Re: Trumpet/Flugel Double case

Hi Paul, I initially bought the Wolfpak Trumpet/Flugel with Wheels, but I don't really like the way the Flug sits so I picked up the Mike Vax combo from Long & McQuade here in Toronto and I love it. Holds my Olds flug and fits overhead on a 'normal' Air Canada aircraft or under the seat on the CRJ variants.
