unwanted lips vibration noise

I am having like a lips vibration noise projected in my sound while playing sustained notes. Does anybody knows what is the cause for this and how to solve it? I haven't experience this before.

Re: unwanted lips vibration noise

Sounds to me like that's how one play trumpet, through lips vibrations ;)

Seriously, you'll need to be more precise about your problem...

Re: unwanted lips vibration noise

Sometimes an embouchure that is too tight (top to bottom) will produce what we call a double-buzz. Dropping the jaw helps.

Good luck!

Re: unwanted lips vibration noise

I will often get a nasty double buzz when I am getting tired.
A short rest and playing long, low tones very softly usually helps short term.

Long term fix is more and better practice to improve my endurance.

Re: unwanted lips vibration noise

I used to get a double buzz at the wrong time. I was playing a shallow cup mouthpiece. The answer was to go to a little more depth.
I also keep my jaw forward into the mouthpiece, ie lower lip under the upper lip.

Re: unwanted lips vibration noise

Stchasking is correct---too small a mouthpiece. Drinkning also helps to relax.
