![]() | Viennese vs German mpc for rotary I play a Breslmair A rim/1cup/1bb on a Thein Rotary, but the result is not quite what I want. So, I'm thinking about ordering some more parts to try out: 1w cup, E48 cup, G bb, and a 1w bb. BUT..... I was thinking taht since it's a German trumpet, perhaps I'd be better off getting a German mpc. ?? It seems that the Cologne model from JK is quite popular among German orchestral players!? Maybe someone close to that scene could chime in!? I had a look at the JK website and the 207-1 seems to have similar specs with my current mpc. but not sure about that... again, if anyone has played both, I'd be happy to hear about their experiences. Especially about the qualities of the rim. Thanks in advance! |

Stay with the rim/cup that you're comfortable playing and experiment with the back end. Best, EC |
