![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Wooden Sleeve Sound Enhancement System From my residenza in Turkey on a very slow internet line: This discussion is gone totally off the rails. To clear up a couple of things: Chapter #1: #1: I am not the thread opener. #2: The thread was opened with a question about Josh Landress’ Wooden sleeve. #3: I explained a couple of things about my Sound Sleeves. #4: Sofus started a rant against my Sound sleeves and sound sleeves in general (again!) #5: The tone in Sofus’ posts becomes very aggressive #6: Sofus posts a thread “The new Sofus custom trumpet sleeves” http://www.trumpetmaster.com/vb/f134...ves-47412.html (The New Sofus Custom Trumpet Sleeves) #7: People gets p…..ed off by his whatever Chapter #2: #1: I did post a thread “New mouthpiece system” some months ago. http://www.trumpetmaster.com/vb/f134...tem-45141.html (New mouthpiece system) #2: Sofus started a rant in this thread #3: Sofus started a thread like “Sofus asymmetric mouthpiece” http://www.trumpetmaster.com/vb/f131...ece-45219.html (The New Sofus Asymmetric Mouthpiece) In my thread I posted some sound clips of the system, but those has for some reason disappeared. I also offered Sofus a possibility to try the sleeves (cheap!) He was not interested in my offer…. What do I read from all this? This is a perfect way to keep away all trumpetmakers, mp makers, accessory makers from posting on TM. I posted these lines in this “Wooden sleeve thread”: “My late mother and father teached me how to keep a good tone. On the trumpet, I had to figure out most of it myself.” This tells most of why I stopped replying after I launched the link to Harrelson’s SWE info pages. A discussion is always good, but when it goes off the rails like this Sun is shining, sea is hot. A cold shower is recommended End of my contribution in this thread.

What I said was, that I´m still the weak link of me and my gear, and that I might try them in a future when I´m no longer this weak link (don´t know if this will ever happen, though . . ). Quote:
wave pressure is high inside a mouthpiece. I looked at the web site but could find no such statement. I asked you to point the place in the text out, and you pasted a page of text in your answer from that site. When I still couldn´t find the place where such a statement was made and told you so, you just dropped the discussion instead of pointing the place out. Quote:
of them. Some of these friends have had a difficult time in sticking to the subject of the matter, which for me still is the question of whether mass can be added in the way you do it, or not. Not only you get peronal when talking about me. Some of your friends have called me names like mean and wanting to hurt you, to smoothing things I´ve earlier said over etc. I don´t think you´ll find ANY place in my posts where I´ve called anybody by similar names. If you bother to read the later posts where I comment this matter you will see that I´m FOR the things that you do, but since you call your product Sound Enhancers, which is a very big promise to give the buyer, the questions that arise regarding the construction MUST be allowed to be posed. I would REALLY, REALLY, REALLY be happy if we could find a way into a sound discussion (unintentional joke!) again. I would certainly never be personal or call you any names, but I still would like to discuss the questions about the construction that I have. My suggestion that you don´t call them Sound Enhancers just yet is still a good idea, I think. I´ve been thinking about what you could call them while the technical side of them are more examined, and I like the word "Designer" a lot, so why not call them Designer Mouthpieces or even better The Norwegian Designer Mouthpiece! You have already told me that people have tried them and liked them, so if you focus on how COOL, BEAUTIFUL and CLASSY they are, people will continue to buy them! We ALL love beautiful things! And one more thing I´ve thought of; with a sleeve like yours, you could do things for those who suffer from eczeema on their hands. Your sleeves are PERFECT for helping people regarding that!! We used to be friends. I don´t want thing to end this way . . .

![]() ![]() | Re: Wooden Sleeve Sound Enhancement System Hi Nordlands, Why Sofus wishes to be randomly hurtful is a mystery. However, what comes around goes around. One of these days he'll make damaging remarks about a company on the web and they will sue him. It is then that Sofus will have to defend his damaging comments in a court of law. I hope Sofus has deep pockets. His behavior suggests that he may need it. |

company sells or produces is not always a damaging remark. I very much depends on what answers the company has to give, as well as how well the company is prepared for them . . . Quote:
make sure that they were just that, and that I´d made enough experiments and such to support what I claimed. The guy in here who just bought a useless, chineese trumpet that was said to be a German trumpet made by "Schiller, Frankfurt, Germany" probably wishes very much that the company he bought it from had lived up to its promises . . . I haven´t yet pointed out who the people calling me names in here are, but I fear that you may be a person who will keep doing this long after Nordlands and I have again come to an understanding. I will therefore not bother to tell you how I feel about being his friend and then lose his friendship, instead I will turn only to him. You can no longer expect me to reply to your attacks on my person. I have done this many times enough by now.
