Yamaha YTR 734 (YTR 6335) bottom caps??

Hello everyone. First post ever!
I recently purchased a used Yamaha 734 which as everyone knows is the older version of the 6335 (but better I think becasue the bore is larger!)
Anyway it came missing one. Any ideas where to locate one?? I googled but everyone offered fancy custom caps.
Thanks in advance everyone!

Congrats on picking up a 734! I had an opportunity to play my teacher's 734 and it was simply delightful. Good luck on finding caps!

Re: Yamaha YTR 734 (YTR 6335) bottom caps??

Strangely, I'm in exactly the same boat: new 734, missing a bottom valve cap. I emailed Mouthpiece Express and Yamaha last week, neither has gotten back to me (I can't find the correct part listed anywhere). Were you able to find something? I did go into a music store and confirm (to my surprise) that a cap off a new Yamaha (student horn) fits.

Re: Yamaha YTR 734 (YTR 6335) bottom caps??

The 734 doesn't show in the parts search, but the next generation, the 6320, does. Unfortunately, the bottom cap p/n doesn't appear. I just got a response from Yamaha, they sent me the p/n for the 6320 (A0841030), but the search function can't find it either! I assume that is because there is a new direct replacement: the cap for the student 2335(s) (p/n A2L41030). The price, though, ($12.35), makes me wish somebody would sell a single CCAP! No matter what, this was all a useful exercise, as I think I found the replacement leadpipe I may soon need (the 6320 part).

Re: Yamaha YTR 734 (YTR 6335) bottom caps??

The ytr-734 is a lightweight trumpet and really shouldn't have heavy caps. I would never want heavy caps on mine. If you're patient you should be able to find one. I'd imagine that most of their caps are the same from that same era.
