Anthem at Sun's Game last night Last night was really fun. I wrote about my audition for the Suns back in September, and last night was the game. The group played great(we called ourselves the Magnificent 7) but the thing that I enjoyed most was the reception that we received (applause was amazing) as we walked off the court. Shawn Marion came up with a big smile on his face and said, “You guys were fantastic!” I had a rehearsal across town right after we played, and as we were being escorted out of the building, MANY people had that expression of acknowledgment on their faces (lots of eye contact) and we got dozens of people saying “great job” on the way upstairs. I had a fun time hanging out with Tommy and Rogerio and talking about all sorts of things. I also enjoyed telling the whole group about some of my NYC experiences. It’s amazing how quiet the room got when I was telling my Met story. All in all a fantastic outing! I’m just to the left of Tim Moke who’s in the white jacket and playing the herald trumpet. TM's Rogerio is on “the X” and is second from the right. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Anthem at Sun's Game last night You cannot fathom how much I wish we had you guys at Arco Arena (Kings)! It'd be so cool to have a *good* national anthem. The best one I can remember recently was by like a 11 year old girl, who sounded very good for her age. Most of the adults are just... erm... well, they leave a lot to be desired, and lets leave it at that. ;) Recording would be awesome! Youtube perhaps?

Re: Anthem at Sun's Game last night I believe that we played the Jim Olcott arrangement. It's certainly a good one! As far as a clip, the Suns told us that they would provide us with a DVD of our group's performance in the near future. I'm hoping that Tim will figure out how to transfer this to his Photobucket account and then I'll add a link here. Thanks everybody!
