![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Anybody Here A Model Railroader? wow, seems as though alot of trumpeters are railroaders... i myself model HO, 1920's - 1930's (pre war era) Pennsylvania Railroad. I am a HUGE PRR buff and am currently building a die cast (by Boswer) E6 Atlantic to be modeled after #460, The Lindbergh Engine. I also bought a parts Bowser E6 to aid in the building of the new one, but the parts locomotive was in such good condition that I'm going to also restore that to operating condition.

![]() | Re: Anybody Here A Model Railroader? does Thomas and friends count. Me and my 2 yo son have a great time playing with that little train. It has batterie engine and plastic railways. We also have a plastic tunnel and a station. But it is amusing, it windes through the room and into the hallway sometimes, we have around 20 meters of rails. It is great fun. The kid is enjoying it. But images you posted is serios stuff, I have never considered it as a hobby (was playing with boats, cars and planes as a kid, trains somehow eluded me) but now I am beggining to be more and more interested and all thanks to Thomas and friends LOOOOLL who knows maybe I'll becam o guy or n guy one day, although I do not have a clue what it means |

![]() | Re: Anybody Here A Model Railroader? Check this out..... I've always had a special place for model railroads in my heart....My father grew up on Lionel's, and I had HO scale. It's been years but I still have all the Chicago Northwestern stuff in boxes.... Our company has been making screen printed awards for this Milwaukee show for years. It's really something special. Definitely worth going to if your in the area. Very kid friendly event. Here's a better view of it all....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8nUQ...ayer_embedded# Brian

![]() | Re: Anybody Here A Model Railroader? I used to really be into HO trains, but lost interest because I don't have space for a layout. I think I enjoyed building and custom painting kits more than running them on a layout, though. I still have all that stuff stored in boxes. I liked the 50's and 60's diesel era, and modeled a lot of Southern, L&N, NC&StL, and N&W locomotives and rolling stock. I was also a train nut and took a lot of photos 20 or 25 years ago, stuff you don't see anymore... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() | Re: Anybody Here A Model Railroader? Thanks. The second one down is N&W 611, a 4-8-4. Has similar (but not as pronounced) streamlining as a Hiawatha, though.

![]() | Re: Anybody Here A Model Railroader? I love Norfolk & Western's J-class engines, but my ultimate favorites were the NYC steamers. ![]() ^^Thats one of my favorites, and i also love the classic 4-6-4 Hudsons aswell, along with the Mohawks and Niagaras, just wonderful, amazing machines. They are almost alive, of course, as a steam lover I love the Big Boys, and Challengers too. Challenger 3985 is a beast of an engine, makes me wanna live out west to see it run!
