I think you can play some interesting pieces, both in classical or jazz : Honegger's Pacific 231, Strayhorn's Take the A train, ...

Re: Anybody Here A Model Railroader?

I'm an HO guy. Santa Fe, mostly. Someday I'd like to build a big new layout modeling passenger trains of the 40's-50's, but for now I just collect stuff now and then. Especially things that'll be hard to find later on.

Here's my best project, a Santa Fe E-1 A and B. It took weeks of masking, painting and decaling one summer, but it came out great. I do need too add some window glass, though. Maybe a good project for a cold winter evening this year. Too bad the motor was shot...if anyone knows how to repower a (very) old Hallmark E-1 without replacing the trucks, PM me!

Re: Anybody Here A Model Railroader?

You blokes have just way too much time.

All I have is my "trumpet set" and I occasionally get to play with some model airplanes in 1:1 scale.
