![]() | Anybody Here A Model Railroader? I have two main hobbies: playing trumpet and o scale model railroading. i post on the forum Model Train Journal (Model Train Journal • Index page) i collect lionel trains and i model modern-day detroit in o scale. does anybody else here like model trains and/or collecting toy trains?

Someday I'd like to build a big new layout modeling passenger trains of the 40's-50's, but for now I just collect stuff now and then. Especially things that'll be hard to find later on. Here's my best project, a Santa Fe E-1 A and B. It took weeks of masking, painting and decaling one summer, but it came out great. I do need too add some window glass, though. Maybe a good project for a cold winter evening this year. Too bad the motor was shot...if anyone knows how to repower a (very) old Hallmark E-1 without replacing the trucks, PM me! ![]()
