  | Atlanta Friends - My Orchestra Concert I'm playing the first movement of the Haydn Trumpet Concerto with my Orchestra next Tuesday, 27Feb. The concert is at the Ferst Center for the Arts on Georgia Tech's Campus, and admission is $12 (Free for students with ID). The program also includes the first movment of the Mendelssohn Violin concerto with another student soloist, the fourth movement of Mendelssohn's Reformation Symphony and a student composed piece. The Jazz band is also playing on this concert, they are doing a bunch of Stan Kenton arrangements. Their lead trumpet is a friend of mine, and he's pretty good, the whole band sounds good. | Re: Atlanta Friends - My Orchestra Concert Haydn was tonight...it was great! Not a perfect performance, but it was pretty good, and I had soo much fun! I came off stage afterwards and almost collapsed into a chair, i was so excited. It was a really cool thing...very cool. As soon as the video gets back to me, I'll post it! Stuart |
