The 'bone OK I just have to crow about this somewhere..... I picked up for a friend, a really nice Yamaha "trigger" Bb-F trombone, kinda a semi-pro horn, with *his* $150 today. It's a thing of wonder and beauty, and since it has no valves, there are no valves for him to stuff Marvel Mystery Oil into. He sounds a lot less shitty on it than on the cornet, and well, this is all VERY COOL!! I also picked up a nice 1940 King American Standard cornet for myself for $75, since I am kind of curious about the cornet and I won't play my frined's, it's kind of stinky and the valves are slow. OK I'm going to say it - w00t!

Re: The 'bone Toobz damn, you're local? I was considering buying it for myself, just to have it, it's a thing of beauty and wonder. But, well, I'm too soft-hearted and I'd rather spend someone else's money. Hey if you're by there, ask the guy to demonstrate those low-power .22 shells he has - his phone book needs another hole or two! Hey I have to be in town again on the 25th, you wanna meet up at cuppers coffee shop or somewhere? I'll be pretty much free from noon on.

Re: The 'bone OK here's the plan: I have to go to an appointment at 10AM, I'll be done by noon, I like to hang at Cuppers coffee house on cortez, you know the place right? By the Hotel Vendome? So we could meet at 2 or something, if you want. I could bring my laptop so I can check in on this site, they have free wifi at Cuppers. I could bring my horn, man I can rock that Twinkle Twinkle lol.

Re: The 'bone OK works for me. BTW Cuppers is supposed to have an open mic when the weather gets warm, of course that won't be for something like a month and a half! I wish I lived in town, I certainly can't swing it now, but I might consider renting a room and being in town for the weekends, again when the weather gets warm. There's so much stuff going on, jams and open mics and stuff.

![]() | Re: The 'bone I, too, enjoy the low powered .22 bullets. Almost no noise shot out of a tight Browning camper. I have not tried them in my biathalon rifle. I wouldn't want to get a bullet stuck in the barrel. |

Re: The 'bone Mmmmmm biathlon rifle, that would be cool to have .... anything Anschutz actually! I don't think you'd stick one, they come out nice and fast - the bullet is pretty light, lighter than any normal .22LR. Makes about as much sound as my Awesome RWS 45 pellet gun hehe.
