| Piano User | Can you hear this? http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...toryId=5434687 I'm only 16, and I can't hear it. my brother on the other hand, who is 18, can hear it when my computer speakers play it at 10% volume. Am I losing my hearing, or something? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I played it a a very low level. My son, who is watching the NBA finals at a loud level, instantly said "What is THAT?? That is annoying!" Then my other son came in the room and said, "That is terrible. what is it?" I cannot hear anything unless I turn the speakers very high. -cw-

![]() | That makes my teeth hurt! Then again, I can tell when the ultrasonic motion detectors in the local market haven't been disabled.

| Forte User | I can see why the use it as a teen repellant! I heard it on the MP3 and it was less than pleasant. My head wants to burst open every time I play it....

![]() | At 42, I reluctantly accepted that I couldn't hear it in the little audio clip with the reporter's voice-over. After reading Manny's post I tried again, clicking on the "Download MP3" button. Ouch!

![]() ![]() ![]() | I could hear the ringtone pretty easily, but not the tone at the beginning of the report. The ringtone must be quite a bit lower frequency. Give me a few more years of sitting in front of the trombones. That ought to clear up any remaining hearing ability! |
