| Colonel Kinghornplayer? I was quite surprised; I sadly asked the board of directors for my community band to accept my resignation last night. As most of you know out here I'm set to go back home next month and now the band knows it as well. I was applauded for my work as the publicity chair; a position with great responsibility and little thanks. I was absolutly dumbfounded when the leader our our percussion section; Joanne; put forth a motion for the band. She said that I had worked so hard since arriving in Georgia to become a Southern Gentleman that she felt it fitting to bestow upon me the honoray tittle of Colonel John Sheets Southern Gentleman. It was overwhelmingly approved of and so it was. I think they just want to get me into one of those white suits! In all honesty I was flattered! I've never been nothing more then I am so to be thought of so highly is just wonderful. I assured them that I will carry my new title with dignity and honor.
