| Re: Desperation And sad, too........What people will do in hopes of a better life. It must be hard on the Coast Guard rescuers, too. And for the people they pulled out of the water still alive, what will happen to them? One way ticket back to Haiti, I presume... |

| Re: Desperation Yeah Mikey. My heart goes out to all involved - victims and rescuers. It just goes to show that no matter how many problems America thinks it has, it is still a mecca of salvation and safety for folks all over the world in hopes of a better chance in life. We need to be grateful for the lives we do have here and just continue to better our country as we go along. I know immigration is a big problem, but my heart goes out to people like this. I can't help but have compassion for their plight. |
