I am sure glad we didn't get it that bad on my side of lake Ontario. We did get a lot of snow though. Probably a bit over 2 feet.

Re: East of Eastman last weekend

We are due for 6-10 inches here this weekend. Which means the weather forcasters don't have a clue.

Fire up the Toro!

Impressive and a little scary, Alex. I've not seen many photos from down there. That's the one with the most perspective.

It looks like Moses split the frozen sea, doesn't it? I would be afraid to drive through that......brrrrrrr. It sure is beautiful though.

Now if that were Toronto they'd just spread more salt. Out here where I live they'd leave it on the road and wait for a chinook wind to blow in. (which would be within 48 hours or so).

The last time I saw snow like that "for real" was back in the early 50's when we were driving to New Brunswick along the St. Laurence river.... somewhere N.E. of Quebec City. Thanks for the pic; "way cool".

BEFORE pictures. Last weekend....This is Route 11 through Oswego where NY State curls north around the east side of Lake Ontario. I have family living outside of Rochester and they sent these pictures to me.

The amount of salt they spread in Toronto is disgusting. I can't stand having everything covered in salt. In that amount it is not good for anything.
