| Mezzo Forte User | The flu sucks!!!!! So I have the flu and it sucks! The worst part - Jim Thompson is in town. I had a lesson scheduled for this morning and there is no way I could play for him. I can barely stand up for more than 30 minutes. Ahhhh. Another bad part - NTC is in about 2 weeks and I havent been able to play in 3 days. One OK thing - When the flu was starting to hit me, I was in an orchestra rehersal. We are doing a huge recording with Arlo Guthrie to put out on a commercial CD (make sure you buy it, heh.) I was playing great, best I had felt playing in a long time! I felt horrible, as the rehersal went on I had goosebumps and slight shakes. The conductor stops the rehersal and says "Jonathan, you are making the most beautiful sound" I said thanks and went back to buisness. Im not sure why, but I felt so relaxed and everything was easy. Maybe just the lack of energy from the flu? who knows.... Anyways, I just wanted to complain that I havent left my house in 2 days. Hopefully I will be well enough to play for Jim in a masterclass tommorow. |
