This is priceless, I have long suspected Fox News did not have the ability to collect relevant facts without help from "inside."

Nah ... they are a big news group. They have millions of "good" stories from Iraq. They want it to be PERSONAL so they ask for real stories from real people.

They don't need the average Joe's help, they want a personal story.

Huh? How did what I say lead to that conclusion?

I don't think anyone has called Fox News "left wing"

Fair and Balanced is their motto.

Slightly conservative would be a bit more realistic

But more balanced than most of the other cable networks IMO (except for maybe Chris Matthews).

This is NEWS to me, I have been informed by my more conservative friends that ALL THE PRESS is left wing. Boy, are they gonna be surprised to find out FOX is "slightly" conservative!

Any ideas about how edited [or selective] such a personal story might be? From the other side, do you think the military will "prepare" some poor grunt and assign him the obligatin to "tell his story?"

The military lets people tell their story more freely than they used to. The imbedded reporters during the fight showed that outside of giving away tactical information, reporters could say what they wanted and interview soldiers openly. Prepare, who knows? But the point was that Fox News was looking for a personal story. They could find "public" stories quite easily.
