| Piano User | getting a composition of mine copyrighted and/or published How do I go about this? my mom mentioned it to me, becuase if some other band plays my song, then I could get royalties from it. Also, would it be a good idea to publish it, and if so, how do I get it published? thanks for any responses. |

| Forte User | Well there is a compose who is completely self-published. Took alot for him to get where he is today, but he is, again, self-published. Go here http://www.stormworld.com/index1.html and he tells you how. You can also e-mail him directly and he will answer your questions. The 2 links that are most relevant to your situation: 1) SELF-PUBLISHING: Download a PDF of an Unedited article which appeared in the July Issue of BAND & ORCHESTRA Product News. and 2)US COPYRIGHT LAW Go for it! |
