Re: Goodbye Jeff Healy!

Jeff Healy's guitar playing ment a lot to me.

The emotion in his blues solos struck me very deeply.

His death is a tragic loss to all of us blue people.

He was a high priest of the blues.

Don't forget about his accomplishments as a jazz trumpeter. His embouchure is crazy to watch, he plays on the right side of his mouth. Nuts

He also left behind too children.

His "too" children must be very sad ..... I know I've heard his stuff on the radio. Music is the best thing to go into if you are blind, which I was for my first 4 years, now I can see OK but I'm not assuming that will always be a given.

Heck in the US you're on borrowed time once you're past 50 unless you're rich.

It's amazing he had a radio show, it must have been great and educational to listen to. Maybe it can be found (god bless the pirates!) online.

I don't think so. If he was, he would have been about 13ys old!

Re: Goodbye Jeff Healy!

I don't recall him being in either one of the Blues Brothers movies.

He was "acting" however in the movie Road House (1989) with Patrick Swayze... Cheese Classic :)

That was it! Thanks, I knew I'd seen him in some bar scene movie.
