| Hello from Edinburgh! Well, I couldn't find a jam session in London but I got to play two nights in a row in Edinburgh - Monday the 23rd and Tuesday the 24th of July. I was at the Jazz Bar in downtown Edinburgh hosted by Bill Kyle. He owns the club and plays drums with the jam on Mondays and with his own band on Tuesdays. His rhythm section is simply excellent! I had a terrific time. There were lots of folks sitting in (thirteen by my count on Monday!) but they were most accomodating and friendly. Also, the Jazz Bar seemd to be the best hang in town, if you're into jazz! It is on Chambers Street ... 1B Chambers Street Edinburgh 01312204298 http://www.thejazzbar.co.uk Be sure to ask for Bill Kyle! You'll be glad you did! I definitley want to come back someday. There is a hip jazz scene here! Check it out! Peace! Nick |
