Holst Planets - complimentary reading

I recently read a book entitled "The Planets" by Dava Sobel. It is not a long read. It is poetic prose (essays) about something most of us think of as scientific or mundane. If you liked how Carl Sagan could reach the common man and enchant his audience with astronomy, you will like this book. You will want to listen to The Planets by Holst and will hear it differently because of Ms. Sobel's imagery. I was enlightened to it after hearing a chapter about "MARS" read allowed on NPR. I went to the bookstore immediately and picked it up. I really enjoyed it and I think some of you would as well.
