The Seahawks will be there to meet them. It should be a very good game. The Hawks clobbered Carolina today.

I don't know either team well, but when I think of Seattle I think of Frasier and Starbucks, when I think of Pittsburgh I think of coal mines and steel factories. I know this doesn't have too much to do with what actually happens on the field, but how can you not just look at the teams playing and think, man, those 'hawks are in for a whoopin'

Because the Seahawks are the superior team.

A lot of people thought Carolina was going to give the Seahawks a whuppin'. At one point in the game Delhomme's qb rating was 1.7- and this was in the second quarter. The first touchdown Carolina got was when the refs threw a flag, the play seemed to stop, Smith scored and then the refs picked up the flag. The second time Carolina scored was in the 4th quarter when it didn't matter. . The Seahawks have 2 All Pros on the offensive line, and the center is an alternate. They have 3 All Pros in the offensive backfield. The time of possesion was over 40 minutes for the Hawks. Just look at the stats for this game. Very lopsided. And the defence is very good - it led the NFL in sacks. I can tell you the Steelers are in for a game.

The Steelers dream is finished. The only reason that they beat the Lions is because our special teams gave them the game. That isn't impressive enough. Seattle by at least 10.

it is cold/foggy/rainy/depressing here in Charlotte today. Kinda reminds me of Seattle...haha.

We are all in a complete daze (maybe like our 3rd string running back, Nick Goins? !@^%#@@). We just don't know what happened to the team we watched over the last couple of months (especially)... They did not show up in Seattle. Hey...Seattle is a great team. No question. But our guys were not there. You give any team interceptions near their own 20 - 3 times... yikes.

Embarrassing on the national stage. BTW...Schilke B6... I'm not going to make the trip up to play the bowl... The Tops are only going to play there Sat ... The bread (and the travel) just isn't worth the wear and tear on my body/brain! Gonna stay in town and play the tour of Annie (for the zillionth time). (at least now I won't be totally bummed by having to do 2 shows that day...and not get to watch the game. ha. )

Wilcox, don't feel bad. Your team lost it's running back and just couldn't get it going this time; they'll be back next year . And keep in mind the Seahawks have never been to the Super Bowl before. After all the horrible teams that we've had, I think we're about due for some good years here in the Seattle area. There were a lot of games where I literally decided I would rather do the freaking laundry than watch the Hawks stink it up. I hope we have some good years here, and a great Super Bowl.

For those touting Seattle, let's remember that they played a team who was using their FOURTH string running back and lost their best defensive back.

Pittsburgh knocked off Indy, then followed that by whipping a Denver team that had only lost three all year. I wouldn't count them out, and I think thier return game will end up being the difference.

Then again, I wouldn't mind seeing Seattle win it -- anyone who puts in the year Alexander has deserves to win the Superbowl.

We were hurtin' all around...true. (carolina)... But the fact remains, the team did not show up. Nobody can figure out what planet they were on... but it wasn't earth... The sports talk stations are just buzzing.

This team demolished Atlanta...Giants...even Chicago..with their supposedly #1 defense. Sleepless in Seattle? zzzzzzzzz....uh, 'scuse me...Sleeping in Seattle more like it. haha. They gotta be feelin' pretty bad. Steve Smith had an amazing year. Fun to watch.

Seattle is a good team...there just isn't any doubt. I think it will be a very good game against the Steelers. The story "is" Bettis though... and Cower. Even though Seattle hadn't been to the dance...Bettis and Cower have long looked for their shot.

Carolina has been great...11 seasons...in the playoffs 3 times... Super Bowl once... only lost by 3... More to come. Now to get over the hurt...
