| Honoring Those Who Honor Our Veterans When I went to the front porch to get the newspaper this morning I expected to see a Veterans Day story. But my sleepy eyes were surprised to see a front page feature article about 86 year old Jack Steidl's tireless efforts to honor veterans by providing live performances of Taps at military funerals and other ceremonies. You can read the article online at the Seattle P-I web site. On this Veterans Day I'd like to thank all here who have served to defend freedom and democracy, as well as those who actively support and remember our veterans' service. And to Jack Steidl and other members of Bugles Across America, a special thanks for your dedicated work and the honor it brings. |
