| Forte User | How cold? Well, since winter finally decided to show up (who invited it?) for a day or so, it might be interesting to see the range of temps for TMers. We have -18F here. |

| Re: How cold? I suspect this post will NOT garner any sympathy but here goes: Winter finally showed up in west central Georgia. It was 34 degrees last night. The high today is expected to be about 45 or so.... |

| Re: How cold? New Ulm, MN – it's balmy today (7F already), but yesterday morning it was -17F. Now that's good Jello making weather! Last edited by HoboTrumpet : 01-17-2007 at 09:17 AM. Reason: Removed option-K degree symbols |

| Fortissimo User | Re: How cold? Only -4 C this morning (29-30F) but snowing to beat the band. It has been VERY warm and relatively snow-free here this winter but there is oodles of the white stuff up in the mountains; well above average. I'd call it a "mild January day". |

| Re: How cold? Best Laugh of the Day... They closed the public schools for today (announced yesterday at 3:00 PM) because it MIGHT get cold and rain. The rain NEVER made it here and the low was 36F. What fools!!! |

| Re: How cold? Tempe is the first suburb just East of Phoenix. With a record of 122 F in June 1990, it rarely gets down to freezing. On the news a couple of weeks ago, they mentioned that there were 10 days below 35 F last year! Two nights ago they mentioned that we were going to have some of the coldest weather in a decade. They pulled up the stat that the lowest temperature ever recorded in Phoenix was 16 F back in the 1920s. The temp at my house on Monday night was officially 18 F! Yikes! We typically take a walk around my building at work after lunch (right at Phoenix Sky Harbor where the temp is recorded for Phoenix), and there was ice on the sidewalks (in the shade) at Noon on Monday! Cold indeed for Phoenix! |
