![]() | I am in big trouble. Help. Everybody, I was able to talk to Alisha Ard after the Doc Severinsen concert in Decatur, Ill. I told her that someone posted on trumpetmaster that she was in the band. I thought it was Tony K. that posted it. (Alicia plays tenor slide trumpet. aka trombone.) She got on the site and PM'd me that she couldn't find the posting. HELP! If any of you can find it please let me know or post it on this thread. She was very nice to come off the buss and talk about the road travel and what a trip a tonight show band gig can be. It was the high light of my adventure. Jim |

![]() | Re: I am in big trouble. Help. I received a nice letter back from Alisha. Look her up and you'll see a fine trombone player. alishamarieard.com I really did enjoy the Doc Severinsen concert at Milliken U. in Decatur, Ill. It was a very nice concert hall just like at Rowan U. A proclaimation by the absent Mayor killed the mood at the beginning. We all knew the bio but the Mayor had to stroke his ego. I think Doc was a little bummed out. I was in the second row and he didn't seem as fired up as when I heard him in the past. We, as trumpet players, know when our cohorts are having a good day and a not as good day. He'll do ok in retirement. Maybe he'll find a salsa band in Mexico. The locals will love him and the American tourists will get a treat once in awhile? That would be cool. |
