To play the trumpet or what? Oh! You mean to drive!

Really, congratulations. With this comes a lot of responsibility. You can never leave your trumpet out where you might run over it!

Manny Laureano has a spectacular aura about
Congratulations, Mr. Screamer.

I'm teaching my boy to drive now, too. I'm requiring to have 100 hours behind the wheel before he can take his road test. Yup, amigo, that's right... 100 hours. What can I say? I love my son.

I know you'll be careful, it's everybody else I'm concerned about just like with my boy. I tell him the same thing. It's funny how driving is a symbol for you guys growing up. Every time you go out you expand your territory which means you go further away from home with every mile you drive away.

Have a care out there, amigo, and enjoy the road. Hope it takes you where you need to go.

ML

bandman will become famous soon enough
MY daughter at age 9 started driving a golf cart. SHe learned very quickly how difficult it can be to control a machine that moves pretty quickly. I was happy when she respected the fact that the golf cart was not a toy (although she was just driving it around for fun!)

I don't want to sound like and old fart here, but remember that you are behind the wheel of a death machine. Cars don't kill people -- the drivers kill people.

You and I have sent a few emails back and forth, and I know you are a good kid! Be careful. I would hate to see something bad happen to you!

By the way -- Congrats! Driving is really fun!

Dude, you have no idea how much I second that quote.
I got my license on July 10th of this year. Being able to drive alone has been awesome, but it really opens my eyes to the real world. LOTS of responsibility. anyway, congrats!! have fun learning how to drive, and good luck on your eventual test.
