![]() | Instruments For The World I play trumpet in a sextet called Fifth Street Brass. We recently returned froma music mission in Ukraine where we performed in orphanages, a music college and a music institute for gifted children. We were compelled, based on the horrible condition of most of the instruments played by the kids and students, to start a project called Instruments For The World. It is totally non-profit and is under the umberella of the Wenatchee Free Methodist Church in the state of Washington. We are trying to collect quality jazz band instruments to supply some of the schools and music colleges as well as some orphanages in the areas we visited. We would LOVE to expand anywhere there is a need as people feel led to give. Yes... we also will accept cash donations to cover allied costs ... shipping, repairs, accessories etc. You can view pictures and get more information at www.wenfmc.org Click on ministries and then the Fifth Street Brass tab. This project is just underway and we are excited to see how many people we can reach to check in their closets and donate that instrument that has not been played in years! You will receive a charitable donation receipt in return and a warm heart knowing you helped provide a young musician with an instrument he or she can actually play without having a part fall to the floor. PLEASE feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks for reading this post and God bless.[/b]
