It's Garage Sale Time

Every year the community I live in has the Lions Garage Sale weekend. I can't even drive down my street. All these folks parking their crap 18 inches from the curb, walking down the middle of the street, people blocking roads, letting their dogs crap on other people's lawns

I'm going to go stick a screwdriver through my skull.

would that be a "standard" or "phillips" ? I know what you mean - my wife is the queen of garage sales and our house is full of useless junk. I keep telling her never to buy anything electronic used but I bet I could go in the garage right now and find 6 or 7 cordless phones that she bought that don't work, a broken fax machine a burnt out drill, ect. I keep telling her all she is doing is buying is someone elses trash and two days later I get to come back in the house to sleep. I'm not only old but also stupid. Dave

This reminds me of the annual "Crazy Days" in my hometown, where all the businesses on the main street put all their unwanted crap out on the sidewalk and people flock to it like the world is coming to an end. Last year, for some stupid reason, I decided I had to go downtown and buy something. The main street is a one way, which one older gentleman in a Buick LeSabre decided didn't matter as he drove his car the wrong way through traffic.

Better yet, when people started honking at him and motioning for him to turn around he just stuck his arm out the window and gave them the bird.

Toooooo bad. This weekend is manufacturers day at the rifle range. I will take a pocket full of money and shoot other peoples rifles and guns for the cost of the bullets. I don't have to clean anything. There will be food in the form of barbecue and soft drinks.

I am hoping to pull the trigger on a Barrett once or twice. There may be a swap meet going on, not sure.

(In the mean time the Missouri river is rising and the historic district merchants are mad because the news media is chasing away the tourists. This happens every year during this week in May for over 200 years. But, it still gets sensationalized.)

Our neighborhood does the same thing tomorrow. There must be 2000 homes in the community so it always gets pretty packed. I've got two boats in my front yard to sell. A Bayliner Model 1952 and an 8HP outboard fishing boat with trailer. My new Smokercraft rocks! Wanna buy a boat?
