![]() | I actually met Pat Ramsey as she and her husband lived in the same area as I before they moved away from GA. I also played regularly at their church. This story always twisted my gut and to this day, I don't know what to believe. Sieg - I think it is the fact that she was "abducted/murdered" on Christmas Eve and the way she was killed that makes this a story. Yes, she was a beautiful little girl, but most folks I know scoff at the involvement in pageants, etc. As you touched on, she was more than that. She was a beautiful little soul from what I have learned. If her parents are innocent, this is quite a blow for the husband, losing a wife and daughter.....if they are not, what a nightmare of emotional baggage he must carry with him for the rest of his life. |

![]() | I'll tell you this: if that murder had happened in New York City it would have been solved in a week. The only "mystery" about it is how the local police could have been so stupid!

![]() | Another trend with cases that generate a lot of media attention is the polictical pressure that is put on law enforcement to clear the case. This happens everywhere. Investigators are forced to submit cases before they are ready, rushed in to getting people charged because someone higher than them doesn't have the backbone to tell the media, family or whoever that the case is not completed. In an ideal world, all cases would be shown equal effort, but sadly in our political culture this cannot always be the case. |
