![]() | Kinda cool... ... because it's completely quiet around here as you're all headed to or at your Easter gigs. I'm dressed in my suit and ready to walk out the door but it's a bit like walking around an empty stage on the day of a show before anyone has arrived. There's no light on except for Exit lights and and you have just enough to walk around the stage and all you hear are the echoes of your footfalls. I'm picturing all you guys doing your respective things at wherever the churches you're playing happen to be. The west coasters are getting up or maybe already at a sunrise service. Folks are warming up here in the middle west. East coasters are already playing. Folks across the pond are having lunch. It's just kinda cool. My best wishes to all of you. I'm looking forward to the "stories" that are inevitable on a day like today. Be well, all. ML |

![]() | Re: Kinda cool... I just got home from my Easter gig. 3 services, lots of high E's and F's in the praise songs. Overall I'm pleased with how it went. I've been trying to employ some of the things I learned in my first trumpet lesson in gosh knows how many years. My face is mush. I took some time off of work this afternoon to spend it with family and friends so that will be nice. I hope everyone else had a good gig. Later, 40 Almost forgot. As an early Easter present for myself I picked up an HK USP 40!!!! (suprise suprise, it's a pistol)

![]() | Re: Kinda cool... I slipped out of the house around 5:30 this morning, two cases in hand. Headed to play a sunrise service (and an 11:00 one, too), trying to be quiet and not wake the family. Went outside and it was still dark, a 1/4 Moon shining overhead. Just a hint of light in the east - but the birds were already beginning to chirp to greet the new day. Happy Easter, everyone!

![]() | Re: Kinda cool... The services at my church were great, except when the Bishop attempted to sing during the sermon. The trombone player asked me if he covered the entire circle of fifths. I wasn't able to tell myself. He's retiring soon and should be indulged,I guess. At least the rest of it went well. And the postlude for organ and brass was very well recieved. Happy Easter!
