Le Tour.... Perhaps this is a silly question, but is anyone here -besides me- following the Tour de France this year? Why does something tell me that I am one of 5 people in the US who are following le tour? -efwd

Ok, so it's been confirmed that I am one of two americans watching "le Tour". I am quite surprised by this as tomorrow will be Lance's last ride! I guess the general american public is like the proverbial horse that can be led to water, but not forced to drink. I am certainly going to keep on cycling and riding as long as I can, whether or not it is a "fringe" sport here in the USA! -efwd

Etown.. I haven't been watching the Tour (I did catch a couple of days though), but have been following it on-line everyday. What Lance is doing is just amazing. To win one Tour is quite the accomplishment, but seven in a row. Superhuman! Warren

I have the tV on OLN as I write this - and I have been doing this since the beginning of t he Tour. In fact, I'd like to be out riding, if I could!!! (Used to ride with a pretty good Velo Club during my college days, but, since then have gotten fat!!!!)

I don't have the chance to watch it but I follow it online everyday. I started getting into it last year and remembered how much I loved bicycling so starting last year I go for a 23 mile ride 5 times a week. I love watching it and doing it!! Adam W. Metzler

| Fortissimo User | Well, it's all over with now. He says he's retiring while he's still on top and that's a good thing. He's got a rather attractive young lady to pay some attention to as well as his kids. It's nice to see someone rise to the top of the game while overcoming the odds that Lance has been up against. "Good for him". |

Le Tour Etown, I'm sorry I just noticed this topic... Make that 4. My wife and I are cyclist and we watched every day... well, almost... when Dish Network could find their Satelite that is... we upgraded to be able to get OLN for the tour... but during the last week it was hit or miss. I would call dish to complain and the rep would tell me they were having a difficult time keeping track of the satelite. I said, "what! you've lost your satelite? How can you let this happen... it's a billion dollars you got floating up in space and you've lost it?"... I'd get the rep laughing... and then ching, ching I'd get a credit... I think we are going to end up paying about $10 bucks for the 3 weeks of OLN... Anyway, I'm a big fan of Lance's. I was able to meet him in the DC area as I followed the Tour DuPont way back when him and Julich were on the US Amature Team. Carmichelle was the coach. I have a signed program with the two on the cover. Man he was chunky back then... looked like a fat sprinter... I also got to meet Phil Anderson (Motorola Team)... and I was taken back when he was a total jerk to me when I asked for his signature... bad day maybe... Rogerio
