Forget Maynard... Watch the clip, Sass & Brass and see Al Hirt put on a clinic! One of my favorites of all time. The whole Cinemax Special, Sass & Brass was great! Sarah Vaughn with Maynard, Al Hirt, Dizzy, Don Cherry and Chuck Mangione. Believe it or not, in my opinion, Mangione laid down the tastiest jazz of the whole session! Try and see the whole session sometime! -cw-

| Forte User | I really enjoyed the Arturo performance of Tunisia. But now Chuck has me real curious...I'll have to check out that Special. Is it available on dvd? |

Yhea chuck where do we get this stuff you speak of.....Forget Maynard???? Seems a little Harsh...but I understand if you dont dig the Boss. Ofcourse we all know nobody will ever top Brownies rendition on NIT..when the crowd chuckles when he has trouble hitting the high ones at the end..that is some classic shit..a darn shame that this gig was close to the night he met his maker on that rainy day....RIP Clifford Brown

Hey, No SLAM on Maynard.... I don't know if you can get that Cinemax video from them or maybe on eBay. It's called Sass & Brass. If not...give me a PM. -cw-

Yea, the clip of AL is great. I don't like the Tunsia clip tho, Try the Don't let the sun go down on me, or the Gabriel clip.
