I met Leigh McKinney - admittedly, it was up at Eclipse and I was buying a flugel, but heck, I met him (and David Quinlan as well)

Manny Laureano has a spectacular aura about
So far I've met in person gzent, rzeller, wrbandel, phatmon, trumpethobo, Derek Reaban, Tartertrumpet, and s_hill. I'll credit a bad memory to whomever I left out that I met this year.

I knew some of the others before they became posters, so, I guess in the official TM rule book that wouldn't count.

I failed miserably in meeting Manny at ITG last year (Denver) - we managed to miss each other quite spectacularly.
I did it again when he was in London - I got a gig I couldn't refuse on the night he was playing over here.

Next year Manny?

I've met Leigh, Trent Austin, Charles Hargett (doesn't post as much, sales rep for Kanstul I believe), Bruce Lee (of Northern Brass), and probably others, but right now my mind is a blob of jello, so if I left you out, I appologize.

ITG conferences are great for meeting TH, TPIN, and TM people. I met a bunch of people in Denver (including Manny in the stairwell... I wish I could have seen the Monette Clinic everyone was raving about!).

2006's conference is in NJ and you can bet your bottom dollar I'll be there (at the Eclipse Booth if Leigh attends).

best,

Trent

I got my trumpet teacher through TM. One of the best experiences of my life.
