| The New $10 Dollar Bill Can't wait to get one it looks sharp... http://money.cnn.com/2006/03/02/news...ex.htm?cnn=yes It's about time, I used to joke with all my Canadian friends that American Currency was the most powerfull in the world; yet so bland. Canadian currency they would tell me was much better looking, I agreed but I also pointed out it was about worthless. This was when the Canadian Dollar was worth about .51 cents US. About time America spruces up her cash... |

| Mezzo Piano User | Sure its interesting and all, but is it really neccisary? They've done so much with it lately, all the 50 state quarters and new bills, new nickles each year. It just seems like with all that is wrong in the world today the government would have something better to spend their time on rather than makeing our dollars look prettier... |

Although it's true that the $US has slid against most world currencies (making the Loonie appear stronger), due to energy sales (oil & natural gas), the Canadian dollar has even moved up against the euro and the £ by about 20% (making my summer trip to Germany this year even less costly). I'll be the first to say that "you ain't seen nothing" until you've seen some of those older European currencies though (before the euro). Now they were something different! | |

| Now that I think about it Toots, your right .61 cents is about the worst it ever got. Worked nice for me because at the time I was playing hockey so my $440.00 CCM Hockey skates only cost me about $270.00 God how I loved Canada.... Hey, I've always been a staunch supporter of Canada... Canada gave the USA in my opinion the two greatest things in the world. Ice hockey, and Molson Ice! Your right about currency too toots, some of that old world stuff was something. |
