New Career

Well I started today. My 2nd/3rd grade basketball team won their 1st game of the year. 17-12. My boy Miles scored 11.

The coolest thing is that he has asked me to start teaching him the trumpet. He actually says, " Dad, trumpet lesson?"

One of the best students that I have ever had played real well in 7th grade, got braces, and was even a better player one week later.

She is now his 3rd grade teacher and has inspired him to play.

Sometimes life is good.

Now if only the Lions could find an offense.

Cool Stuff Brian.... My oldest son is playing Trombone, he's quite good I'm hoping he'll stick with it. He's in 9th grade. He can play notes on a Trombone that are stratospheric, and his band director thinks he's got real talent so here's to hoping.

As for the Lions I've been waiting for a long time to see them do something. Thank God for the Red Wings and Pistons or Detroit would be a very sports deprived town.

Good luck with the lessons, we'll look forward to a full report.

Lessons were going well but he developed a zit right where the mouthpiece rim is above the upper lip. He is allergic to nickel according to his dermatologist and I have been looking for silver to be a problem so he is already using a gold plated mouthpiece. If that causes a problem I'll switch him to plastic or lucite.

My other career hit a bump we went down 28-18.

We'll be bach. 3-1 is ok for a rookie coach.
