B15M has a spectacular aura about
One of my Easter jobs

On Thursday night I played The Rose of Calvary.

This was in a giant church. The windows on each side were about 5 feet wide by about 20 feet tall with half round tops. There are about 10 on each side of the church. This church is rather big with a steeple bigger then any I have ever seen.

We had a string section and woodwinds and brass and percussion and piano in front of a choir.
The sound was rather nice.

We didn't play the last movement because it was Maundy Thursday.
The last movement we played was about Jesus dieing on the cross.

As we played and he was dieing the lights slowly went dark until only one candle was lit in the front of the church. At this point all of the stand lights were off. We stopped playing and there was complete quiet. The moon light shining through the windows and the candle at the front.
A young man dressed in black came up the center isle and took the candle in his hand and walked back down the isle. When he left the church it was dark but for the moon light and the bell in the steeple started to slowly ring.

After a short while the lights went up just enough so you could leave and no one talked.

I don't care what religion you are you had to be moved by this performance.

Alex Yates has a little shameless behaviour in the past
That is just wonderful B15. I had chill bumps while reading. I have had experiences like that while playing Good Friday vigils, and it certainly leaves an impression.....a very beautiful, solemn impression. Thank you for sharing.
