![]() ![]() ![]() | Only in New York! I was driving on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, having just exited the BQE. I happened to look to my right and spied, walking on a leash, an animal that I assumed was a dog. A very big, hairy, ugly black dog. Something didn't look right, though. The animal was eating grass. I looked closer at the animal. It was a large PIG. They were walking a pig an a leash. Only in NYC Wilmer |

| That's funny Wilmer... I'd expect to see that down here where I'm at; not in NYC... |

| Forte User | That's funny. I was on a stroll through this little nature trail near my house and happened upon a few dogs. Nothing odd there. Their owner came around the bend. There, with the owner was a lamb. With a leather collar, choker collar and tags. |

| WILMER! I know what you saw! Those are the Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs that were all the rage here in the early 90's! Doc Severinsen had a couple of those and just loved them! He would tell me how affectionate and intelligent they were, so, yeah... for a lot of folks they're a substitute for a dog because they act very much like them. Funny, no? ML |
