| Forte User | Thanks, Chuck. Ya know, my spring propgram this year was largely about that. 3 pieces, all tied together, describing the lasting grace and freedom we have as a result of immense sacrifice and suffering of those who have come before. Never did I say anything to the kids about the theme...I wanted them to discover it's meaning beyond those mere words and feel the pain and salvation that brings them to the grace we enjoy through our freedom. Hence, my spring program: When Knights Have Fallen (Melillo); Salvation is Created (Tchesnikov, set by Erikson); Amazing Grace (Ticheli). One of the most emotionally challenging programs I have ever conducted. In my heart, dedicated to the students I have had and now have who now and will serve to protect me.

![]() | My thanks to you Chuck, That really hit the spot. As a recent Army retiree, it still amazes me the caliber of people that our armed services draw. While I believe that they enlist for various reasons, it seems to me that "Service to Country" seems to be at the top of the list. God bless them and supporters like you. Gary Lapine
