| Fortissimo User | Penny Lane Wow! I never knew that "Penny Lane" was an actual street in Liverpool and that it was named after the owner of a slave ship! http://www.cbc.ca/story/arts/nationa...liverpool.html |

![]() | Definitely a real street - been there, seen it Then I had the airbags stolen from my car They have painted the street name on the wall - every time a new street sign was erected, it got stolen. Maybe Liverpool's reputation is well deserved? |

If it makes you feel any better, I woke up Saturday morning walked out to get the newspaper and someone had stolen a barrel cactus out of my front yard. It was huge too... about 2 feet wide (round). Must have weighed a ton... I just stood there in shock looking down at the hole... Police officer tells me it's a real problem in Phoenix... Landscapers take them and resell them... a nice size barrell cactus like mine would go for $300+

![]() | As long as the sensors in the front of the vehicle are not set off, they are pretty safe to be around. Look at it this way, if they didn't damage the covers to much, you have yourself an nice little hiding spot for some valuables. |

It was the end of a very bad week (that started with my 30th birthday and went downhill rapidly) and completely stuffed the plans for the next few days. As for how - they broke into the care, unbolted the one on the steering column (which is apprently very easy to do) and cut out the passenger one - taking the whole mechanism with them. The police (who were about as useful as a chocolate teapot) said that is becoming very common (especially in Liverpool) - airbags are incredibly expensive so those illegitimate souls who steal cars will also steal airbags so that when they set theirs off, they have spares.
