Pete Fountain

Shortly after Katrina hit there was a report that Pete was "missing". Since then I haven't been able to get any more information.
Has anyone else heard anything about him???

According to usenet group posts, Pete Fountain is alive. Lost two homes, though.

Thanks for the info. Pete has always been a great ambassador of trad jazz and the business would surely miss him. Seeing him with Al Hirt was a real trip--they could really tear it up.

I remember reading a story Al told of Pete hiding his money in a roast, I believe.

Its good to hear he's still kickin.
