Pimpin' Tunes!

Hey there Mr. Andy Mac,

Huggy was wondering.....what's yo' favorite song? Huggy likes the Haydn Song that Mr. Michal Sachs played a two years ago. Have you played that one? Do you like it? Are there any others that Huggy should check out?

Love,
Huggy

Re: Pimpin' Tunes!

BTW, it doesn't just have to be classical music. Huggy read that Mr. Michael Sachs also like Hanson and Gerrardo. You could throw down with some New Kids or something, if that's your style!

Re: Pimpin' Tunes!

Huggy,
My favorite tune right now is Dancing Queen by Abba. It always makes me happy. I also like Metallica a lot! My favorite trumpet player is Chet Baker because he got lots of ladies.
As far as real trumpet stuff goes I guess I like that Haydn song pretty well. I'm playing it in September with the Royal Conservatory Orchestra. I also like the song by Hummel. I'm playing that with the TSO next year. Other than that I don't listen to classical trumpet music that much. I'm too busy jamming to Abba!
Later,
Andrew

Re: Pimpin' Tunes!

Dancing Queen? DANCING QUEEN???? AAARRRRGH! Have I taught you nothing? NOTHING????? Dancing is the devils work ! Thrusting bodies. Gyrating hips. White boys chewing on their lower lips! Metallica is pretty cool, but you are gonna need some serious "man rock" to get back in Huggy's good graces after this fiasco!

Here's what Huggy wants you to listen to:

ICP....Insane Clown Possy
Tenacious D
Led Zeppelin
Rush
AC/DC
Quiet Riot
Dylan.....not really ROCK, but you need some soul after that ABBA crap!
Stevie Wonder....same as above....you need to get your groove back...like Stella did
Van Halen.....before Sammy
....and a little Fity' Cent.....get some bullet hole cred!

Listen to this stuff for two weeks and I'll consider giving your "Man Card" back.

Served...

Huggy

p.s. I don't wanna hear about you listening to Bryan Adams and stuff now because you're in Canadia. Dude is lame....except for Summer of '69, that was a good song!

Re: Pimpin' Tunes!

For some real pimpin' tunes, get in your low rider, roll down the windows, crank up the sound and put in "Poopy Pants Blues" by Adam Rapa.

CD Baby: ADAM RAPA: Life on the Road

Re: Pimpin' Tunes!

Yo Huggy,
I got Andrew's back...............cut the young guy some slack!
He did not grow up in South Philly and hang with the cats.
I am just catching up with some of the stuff we did back in the day.
Check out The Intruders............that's Johnny Coles on second trumpet
YouTube - The Intruders - Together

Here's one with almost every bad trumpet player in town at the time.
Jon, Lew, Mr. Fabulous, me and maybe Ernie

YouTube - Village people - YMCA

YouTube - Village People - In The Navy (high quality)

Wilmer from South Philly
