Play Station 3

What do you guys know about the new PS3. I see pre orders going for sale at almost $2000.00 for a $600 unit on Ebay. I'm thinking about sitting outside a Best Buy to get one and sell it. I'm not usually into doing something like this. But if some soccer mom is going to buy jr a $2000 game machine I might just take her up on that.

I have heard stores have a limit of 20. Does anyone know if there will be another release of PS3s before Christmas. There could be some big money to be made this will be the only release before Christmas. PS3 comes out on the 17th

Your best bet is to go talk to a manager at Best Buy. They really messed up thee Xbox 360 launch, so they're trying extra hard to let everyone know whats up. My roomate and I are going to camp out and get a couple that will find their way to ebay.

all the info I have seen is that frys, best buy, walmart, etc are not going to sell just the base units. they are only selling in bundles with 5-8 games which pushes the base prices to around 1000-1400. same gig going for the Wii.

this stinks but will stop those just getting units to throw on ebay.

Best Buy took a lot of crap for doing that with the 360. I highly doubt they'll make the same mistake twice.

Well in Europe, the launch date for the PS3 has been put back to next March after promises that it would be here in time for Christmas.

There are various stories as to the reasons for the delay, but Microsoft and Nintendo (who are bringing out their new Wii console next month) will never have a better chance to take advantage and get a march on Sony by releasing some top games.

I have heard 400,000 will be released here in the US on Friday. Do you guys know if anymore will be released before Christmas? If not there could be some serious cash to be made.

I saw on the news this morning people camping out at stores. Maybe we are all too late.

You guys need to sit on those till the week or two before Christmas. The market is going to be as "flooded" as 400,000 units can get right now. The week before Christmas is going to be PAY DAY.
