Prise Trumpet Specifications?

What are the specifications for this trumpet?
Is the winner only given a certain configuration of this instrument or will the winner be able to choose specifications such as color?
And also, will the instrument come polished or just merely brushed?

Re: Prise Trumpet Specifications?

These are good questions. And I would like to know the answers as well.

I would prefer either the brushed silver or Gold Plate if I won. If I had the money and won, I would pay for the GP. The Brushed Silver is the same price as any of the non-gold finishes; however, I can see where they may just have what ever is the next horn off the line and say thats what you get. Either way its still a free trumpet.

Well,
We actually don't have a line that horns "come off" of.This horn is specially made for this contest,so it is not next in line exactly, and will only come in polished silver.Just like our other horns made one at a time, and so is this one.
You can find all the specs on our website.
In any case,in my opinion, going for this horn simply because it is "free",is a wrong way of doing things.
I am getting really upset at some comments here. This horn is not "free".My life is in that horn.

I think the reason people are saying 'free' trumpet is because it is rare for things to actually be hand made these days, so as consumers we loose sight of that fact that things are still done with care by hand as labours of love.

Yes. I truly appriciate the work you put into these horns. Theres not that much stuff around these days that are still hand made, and its truly an art. Thank you very much for doing this.

Re: Prise Trumpet Specifications?

I've never had the chance to play any of the horns from NYTC but as everyone knows the word on "the street" is great!

If I'd had the $2700 to pick up a vintage NY Bach 7 I ran into at Dillon's I would have. Still thinking I should have. If this model plays in a similar fashion it will be a fantastic horn.

I promise to give it a good home and to make sure it is taken out and played frequently.

If it were just a free horn, I wouldn't bother. I have more than one horn but I am not a trader, I'm a keeper. No point in getting something that doesn't have the chance of being a "keeper"!!

Thanks,
Steve
