R/P Forum Closed

With the threats going on in there which meant spilling over to possible fights at the next ITG conference, I can understand why it was closed.

May I make a suggestion? Please take the whole R/P Title section out of the TM forum format so that you will not be tempted to put it back up again in the future. People are quitting TM because of that forum, it has become a liability and we really do not need it.

If people want to engage in Religion and Politics, there are other forums for that outside of TM.

Good move to close it but you are not finished yet.

I'm inclined to agree.

I used to enjoy that forum but the last several months the decent discussions [debates] seemed to have disapeared and was purely political.
It got so that personal attacks were on the rise and I just only peeked in there every so often. I am sad to see it go but I understand why. I liked it a lot better 6 months ago. Dave

Given the way that part of the forum was going I agree with the decision to pull the plug on it. Far too many personal attacks to have a reasonable exchange of ideas.

bandman will become famous soon enough
I have always said do away with it. Call it a Christmas gift, or even better a new year's resolution, to make TM a better place!

It was those darned liberals, all their fault! That's why it was closed!

Re: R/P Forum Closed

It was a terrorist attack. And that right before election time.

I guess TM found a way to "win" the war.

We shouldn't ever forget that this is a "private" site and the owners decide when things get out of hand and how to deal with it. I think they acted with great restraint before letting the hammer fall. I do regret that it was possible to turn the heat up so far in such a short period of time. I hope we don't have similar attacks in other forums!

I found it sad that certain posters were ONLY present in that corner - we have so much to offer elsewhere at TM. I think it showed malicious intent.
