![]() ![]() | Range ammo What do you guys shoot at the range / or just for messing around. I usually get the WWB value packs at WalMat. 9mm comes to about $12.70 for 100 I think The other day I found a deal at DICKS (sporting goods store) not sure if its a national chain. If bought in bulk 50 round 9mm packs for like $5.48. I should mention the ammo I bought at DICKS was Remington UMC. Worked great. But everything works in a Glock ;) Last edited by MJ : 08-11-2006 at 05:01 PM. |

| Whatever is cheap. WWB is decent for the $$, but in MN they don't carry handgun ammo at wally world, so usually when I visit the in-laws in KS I try and empty out every wally world I can find of their .45 ACP ammo. In 40 cal it is usally american eagle. (I get it for free) Same with .223 ammo |

| Did you mean $8.00 for 500? That's about what I pay for .22 LR ammo at Wallyworld. I use Federal copper-plated hollow point and have good luck with it when just messing around at the range. Last edited by Dale Proctor : 08-11-2006 at 04:53 PM. |

![]() ![]() | I agree 100% I was at the range this weekend with a buddy who was shooting American .40 through his Glock Get this (I'm not great with the lingo but I'll try) One round of this American ammo had a working primer. But no hole for the primer to explode though. So it launched the bullet and casing into the barrel jamming it real bad. It was a MESS! The Glock was ok. It took about 10 minutes to get it working again. unbelieveable. |

| There's nothing like reloading to bring the cost of practice down to manageable levels. Even WWB can get expensive if you're going through enough of it; however, reloading has cut my cost to a fraction of what it used to be. Now, I average about $2.50 - 3.00 per 50 rounds of pistol ammo compared with the $10-15 it used to cost me in years past. |
