| Forte User | Rematch?? I'm truly torn on this one...but what say you? Should there BE and Ohio State/Michigan rematch in the BCS title? OSU dominated statistically, but only won by three points. OSU would have won huge were it not for three turnovers -- but turnovers are part of the game. Michigan's Mike Hart clearly showed he was an oustanding running back. Chad Henne had no interceptions and finished a solid game against a solid D -- but he did overthrow some receivers on key plays. Troy Smith turned in a great performance, but he did have a critical turnover. On and on and on.... Give the Buckeyes +3 for homefield advantage and you have a dead even matchup... Clearly, unquestionably, Michigan is the second best team in the land (that is to say, they're DEFINITELY well above numbers 3 or 4). Michigan shouldn't have to lose out on the championship game just because they got beat by the #1 team in their last game on the ROAD by the margin of a single field goal. So Michigan, by all rights, deserves a second chance. But then there's the other arguments: They played tOSU and lost. They had their chance. Despite three turnovers, one inside the 10 and another inside the 24, Michigan still couldn't pull out a win against a team that led them through most of the game (including the entire second half). A team that cannot even win its own conference should not be given a chance to play for the national title. It's not "fair" to Ohio State to have to beat them twice. USC has played a tougher schedule. If they run the table, they are the more deserving. And perhaps the only truly convincing argument for me: If they get a rematch, that means Ohio State has to go 2-0 against Michigan to win the title, whereas Michigan would only have to go 1-1. Hardly seems equittable... I dunno...what say you folks? |

| New Friend | Um, love the poll, you think just because we want a rematch means that we are michigan fans? If it were a non-biased i would have siad yes, lets see it again. Personally, I would love to watch the bucks whoop Michigans as* all over again. |

| Michigan had their chance and couldn't get it done. OSU made a bunch of uncharacteristic mistakes and still won the game. Any rematch would be a joke with OSU winning by at least 2 or 3 TD's. Give the ND-USC winner a chance - it would be much more interesting. |
