If this is true; (If we indeed got the "right" Sadaam and not one of his doubles), Bush just won hisself another 4 years.

Confirmed: Saddam Hussein has been Apprehended

(IsraelNN.com) L. Paul Bremer, the U.S. administrator for Iraq moments ago confirmed the apprehension of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

The announced was made during a live press conference that began at 14:30 Israel time.

Soldiers reported Hussein had buried himself in a basement of a building and they had to use shovels to extricate him after being detected.

US officials reported earlier that at the time of his apprehension, Saddam was sporting a salt & pepper beard. The former Iraqi leader was photographed with the beard by soldiers after which time he was shaved and photographed without the beard. A DNA sample was taken at that time as well to confirm his identity.

Agreed. Only problem is, if the decided route of justice ends ultimately in a death sentence for Saddam, I'm sure the UN will have a frickin heart attack. I am interested to see the major European nations stance on why Saddam doesn't deserve to be killed.
