The cards cost nothing; they are an excellent way to draw attention to the plight of homeless mothers, not just here in Seattle, but everywhere. The time saved by sending an E-Card can then be put to good use practicing!

92% or the women here have encountered "Trauma." Most have encountered "Domestic Violence." We can put as many quotation marks around "statistics" as we will, but there remain women whose lives are messed up. Women in hiding, women in fear, women who have children--sleeping in cars, staying with friends (couch surfing)--women in survival mode. It is not a pretty sight, and the systems our society has built to protect them is baffling to the very victims served. Weird as it is, this Vulgano is one of the few men of virtue and character these women have met. (A scary thought, Vulgani as a role models!)
